My life as a creative began in 2011; when I started my education to become a graphic designer. After three years I graduated and it was time to get some work experience.
MassMovement

February 2019 – currently

Currently working at MassMovement, a new style full service agency: strategic, creative and technical, with a focus on results. Whatever a project entails, we mix strategy, concepting, development, community management and advertising together. From the beginning. I’m responsible for concepts, design, photography, videography and protecting the corporate identity.

ZZESTO

August 2017 – December 2018

Worked at ZZESTO, where I created visual identities and give ideas a meaning & face. We designed books to promote selling multi-million-euro buildings. For example I designed books to help sell the Parnassus Tower in the Amsterdam South Axis and the UID Amsterdam project, at Amsterdam ArenA near the Johan Cruijff Arena. But we also did websites and corporate identities now and then.

Centralpoint.nl

January 2015 – July 2017

I worked at Centralpoint.nl as a visual designer, photographer and social media manager. On a daily basis I protected the corporate identity, designed special webpages about the likes of Samsung, HP, Dell and more and did e-mailmarketing. “Centralpoint is the biggest ICT-supplier of The Netherlands with an annual revenue of more than 120 million.

Watermelon is cool 🍉

UX/UI focused webdesign

Every designer goes through this: you enjoy having a great, warm and clean shower and you’re thinking: “I should design a website focused on UX and UI design and the goal is awareness and the option to sell for watermelon.” So that’s what I did.

I made this fictional website. Started with two sections where the product is introduced, followed by two sections to persuade the customer to buy the product. Then there was an option to buy and finally an extra push to buy by persuading the customer again by showing how many people already have the product (plus an option to participate in this worldwide hype).

Kraken Rum 🥃

UX/UI webdesign

This is a pretty big personal project. And let me explain why: first I made a sketch for this website, focussing on UX, went to make some skeleton designs and then it was time to make the fun stuff. I bought an expensive bottle of rum (which I don’t drink) I did a few photoshoots that would fit the upcoming design of the website: product shots and the product in use. Then it was time to make assets for the website, like color, font, buttons and images and fit this all into a good looking website.

Enjoy it, please 😀.

Schiphol.JPG

Book design for Up In the Sky

I got in contact with the people at Up In the Sky. They wanted a fancy looking coffee table book about the Dutch airport Schiphol. I visited their office at the Schiphol business parc a couple of times. We discussed grids, paper sorts and the shapes of the book.

After that it was time to start designing, next to my day job. As I got a quick approaching deadline, I worked on this project for seven days, until 3 or even 4 in the morning. When I received feedback, I again worked until after midnight. It was an intense project, but I absolutely loved every minute of it. Honestly! 🙌

Webdesign

For Centralpoint.nl’s special pages

When I worked at Centralpoint.nl I had to design some special pages, when one of the vendors wanted to promote a certain product. Sadly most of the time there were only a few couple of images I could use and I was limited in making the designs, because the code-people couldn’t make everything I wanted. So we had to trim it down a bit.

Because those pages were made to promote the launch of a new product, the pages are now offline, so the interaction can’t be shown.

Support charity and make kids happy

Because helping people that need it feels good

When the coronavirus kicked in, not much new work came in at my day job. So we decided to help charity by giving our expertise and skills. We set up a campaign for Stichting Uitgestelde Kinderfeestjes, in which we wanted people to realize that they had money left because everything was closed during the lockdown. And with this money they could make a lot of children happy!

Brightening up Arval’s social media

Leveling up Facebook

While I worked at MassMovement, we did campaigns for the car lease company Arval, but we also took care of their social media accounts. For example we promoted their Driverteam! I designed a logo, a style and shot photos.

I also made a carroussel to promote e-bikes with a visual story. With only a few images we created enough space to share all of the USP’s.

Some free work

Because I wanted to

Sometimes you just have to design some fictional websites. Why? Because you’re a designer and love to create websites. That’s why. Or even a redesign, because you think some websites could use a better UI, with improved UX.

I also made a book of my concert photography. Because hey, printing your work is better, right?

Posters

To promote concerts I organized

For youth center De Dukdalf I designed posters for concerts I organized. The best about it, was that there were a lot of different types of shows (from punk to death metal), so a lot of different styles!
